Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi
The Rajasthan Fort and Palaces Tour is meticulously planned to take you to all the majestic sites of Rajasthan renowned worldwide for splendid forts and palaces. On your arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be welcomed by our GeTS Holidays representative who will welcome you and will escort you to the hotel booked previously for your stay in the national capital city. You will be handed over all the documents and a scrupulously planned Rajasthan itinerary for your convenience. You will be free henceforth for enjoying a comfortable stay in the hotel.
Post breakfast on this day of Rajasthan Fort and Palaces Tour guests will explore the national capital which is one of the famous historical cities in India. The sightseeing tour begins with a visit to Red Fort, a red sandstone edifice of historic value followed by a visit to the adjoining largest mosque in India- Jama Masjid; while travelling in the streets of Old Delhi a visit to an age old market, Chandini Chowk is a must.
The attractions of New Delhi will include an en-route visit to Victorian style monuments such as Parliament also pay a visit to India Gate, a popular martyr’s memorial. In the evening you will be directed to famous sites of religious beliefs, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Lotus Temple. End the tour with a visit to Qutub Minar or choose to go further and enjoy a light and sound show at Red Fort. Thereafter our GeTS Holidays representative will escort you back to the hotel where you will spend the rest of the night.
Day 03: Delhi- Agra (200kms/ 4 hrs.)
Post breakfast guests will proceed for a visit to Agra. This four hour tour will include an en route visit to Sikandra where you will get to see the tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Commence thereafter with the drive and reach your hotel booked previously by our tour operator in Rajasthan for overnight stay.
Day 04: Agra- Jaipur (240 kms/ 5 hrs.)
As previously planned under your Rajasthan tour, guests will proceed to their next destination Jaipur, early in the morning. After a sumptuous breakfast, guests will embark on a road journey to Jaipur. On the way, they will be driven past Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is the abandoned city of Mughals which houses the tomb of a famous saint, Saint Salim Chisti. Journey to Jaipur is quite picturesque. On arrival at Jaipur by noon, guests will be accompanied by our GeTS Holiday representatives to one of the hotels in Jaipur. After lunch, guests are free for leisurely activities on their own like shopping or visit to Birla Mandir. In the evening, guests will stay in the hotel for overnight stay.
This day of your Rajasthan tour itinerary is planned for a sightseeing tour of the ‘Pink City’. Situated on the outskirts of Jaipur, Amber Fort is situated on a hillock perfect for gazing at the city. Return to the city and visit the illustrious edifice of City Palace situated in the heart of the city exhibiting a fine blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture.
Other sightseeing attractions on this tour include, Janatar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and more. In the evening you can enjoy shopping for some exquisite products of Rajasthani textiles including carpets, silver jewellery and other handicrafts. For dinner you can opt to go to Chokhi Dhani which is a traditional style five star resort serving delectable traditional cuisine under Rajasthani ambience entertaining with folk dance and music performances, puppet shows, games and more. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 06: Jaipur- Pushkar (131 kms/1 ½ hrs.)
Post breakfast on this day of fort and palace tour in Rajasthan check out and drive to Pushkar. On arrival you will be escorted by our GeTS Holidays representative to a hotel for an overnight stay. Pushkar is a famous city of pilgrimage with over 500 temples and ghats it is a legacy of timeless heritage. After relaxing for a while guests will proceed to visit Lord Brahma Temple surrounded by Pushkar Lake. In the evening explore the radiant markets of the region to buy some souvenirs and then return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 07: Pushkar- Udaipur (275 kms/ 6 hrs.)
Post breakfast drive to the next destination of this Rajasthan tour; Udaipur is the renowned City of Lakes which is like a great haven of natural beauty in the middle of desert region of Rajasthan. En route visit the majestic palace and forts of Chittorgarh including the mightiest Fort Chittourgarh. Other palaces and halls in the region include Kirti Stambha, Rana Kumbha Palace, Meera Temple, Kalika Mata Temple, State Archaeological Museum and more. On arrival in Udaipur settle down in the hotel booked for your overnight stay and then enjoy a quite boat ride on lake Pichola.
Guest will proceed to explore the attractions of the city; Udaipur is famous for its Lake Palace, a magnificent palace now converted into a luxury hotel and the City Palace, which is converted into a museum. The beautiful Pichola Lake, Fateh Sagar Lake and Jagdish Mandir, an Indo-Aryan temple, Saheli Ki Bari, an ornamental garden of Mughals for royal ladies are amongst the other places of interest.
Also, visit Lok Kala Mandal renowned for owning a collection of traditional Rajasthani attires, ornaments, puppets, paintings and other artefacts. Udaipur is well-known for its local crafts, particularly paintings in the Rajput Mughal style thus to witness that one can visit Shipgram followed by a visit to Eklingji and Nagda Temples. Return to the hotel in Udaipur thereafter for overnight stay.
Day 09: Udaipur- Jodhpur (276 kms/ 4 ½ hrs.)
A drive to Udaipur is then planned on your Rajasthan travel itinerary. You will get to visit en route the renowned Jain temples and Ranakpur Temples- a cluster of temples made of intricately sculpted white marble. Continue the drive henceforth to reach Udaipur where you will be transferred to the hotel booked for your stay in the city. Evening in this lake city will be free for leisure activities and for a casual walk around Lake Pichola. One can also opt for a boat ride or simply return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Jodhpur- Bishnoi Village- Jodhpur (25 kms/ 1 hr.)
A lavish breakfast in the morning is followed by a sightseeing tour of the city. This tour will encompass major attractions such as Clock Tower, Mehrangarh Fort- a giant structure situated on an elevation of about 125 meters, Jaswant Thada- a white marble memorial built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh and a visit to Umaid Bhawan Palace building which is converted into a hotel and a museum.
Later enjoy an excursion to Bishnoi Village known by the cast of Bishnois who are considered protectors of animals, wildlife and plantations. Also visit the local handicraft markets selling exquisite products such as pottery hand weaving, silver jewelry, beauteous attires and more. Return to your hotel in Jodhpur henceforth and stay here for the night.
Day 11: Jodhpur- Jaisalmer (290 kms/ 6 hrs.)
Post breakfast a drive will take you to Osian Village which is renowned for housing 15 beautiful Jain and Brahmanical Temples. Explore the region and then regain your journey to reach Jaisalmer where on arrival you will be first accommodated in a hotel booked under your cultural tour to Rajasthan. In the evening visit Gadisar Lake or visit the local markets for a leisurely walk around. Return to the hotel and stay there for the rest of the night.
At the princely state of Jaisalmer, guests will be provided a full day for enjoying sightseeing tour of the region which is a fabulous place exhibiting the charms of regal era in Rajasthan. Visit the architectural splendours of Jaisalmer including Jaisalmer Fort, Jain Temple, Patwon ki Haveli, Salem Singh ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli.
Thereafter move ahead towards Sam Sand Dunes and en route will visit Temple of Lodurwa, Amar Sagar and Mool Sagar Complex. On arrival at Sam Sand Dues guests will enjoy a memorable Camel Safari and will explore various sites and ruins of temples around the region and finally a beautiful display of folk entertainment and then will return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13: Jaisalmer- Bikaner (290 kms/ 6 hrs.)
Post breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Bikaner en route visit the majestic Fort Pokharan, which is a yellow sandstone structure includes beauteous palaces such as Mangal Niwas, Rani Mahal, Phool Niwas, Pokharan Museum and more. After this visit continue your excursion to reach Bikaner. On arrival in Bikaner get settled in the hotel booked previously by our GeTS Holidays tour operator in Rajasthan. Enjoy a comfortable stay for the rest of the night.
Day 14: Bikaner- Mandawa (275 kms/ 5 hrs.)
Relish your breakfast early in the morning and then proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bikaner beginning first with a visit to Junagadh Fort constructed by Raja Rai Singh it is a fabulous mansion. Move to the next site, Bhand Sagar Temple a 16th century Jain temple. Check out from your hotel in Bikaner and proceed towards your next destination, Mandawa. En route also visit the Karni Mata Temple which is an amazing place housing hundreds of rats moving freely inside the temple complex. Proceed with your journey and on arrival at Mandawa rest in the hotel booked previously for your comfortable stay in the region. Later in the evening guests will be taken for a quick trip to Shekahwati region renowned for magnificent forts and havelis with exquisite frescoes. Return to your hotel henceforth and enjoy a peaceful sleep.
Day 15: Mandawa- Delhi (275 kms/ 5hrs.)
On the last day of Rajasthan Fort and Palaces enjoy a lavish breakfast which will be followed by a sightseeing tour of Mandawa. Enjoy a walk around the architectural beauties of the region by visiting various exquisite havelis here. The main attractions of the region include Aath Haveli complexes, Anandilal Poddar Haveli, Bansidhar Bhagat Haveli and Chokhani Haveli.
Return back to the hotel thereafter and prepare for another journey back to Delhi. Guests will be driven back to Delhi where our GeTS Holidays representative will escort you to the airport for you to board a comfortable flight back home.
