Day 01 : Arrival at Mumbai

DelhiThis Rajasthan Culture and Heritage Tour will begin as guests arrive at Mumbai International Airport.  Our GeTS Holidays representative will welcome the guests on a very pleasing note at the very onset of this heritage India tour.  Thereafter guests will be escorted to the hotel booked previously by our tour operator for an overnight stay.

 



Rajasthan Tour BookingDay 02: At Mumbai

Commence your heritage tour in India on this day post breakfast.  The first city which you will explore on this itinerary will be the ‘City of Dreams’ and the commercial and entertainment hub of India, Mumbai.  Enjoy sightseeing tour of the city and first visit Gateway of India to cruise up to the splendid site of Elephanta Caves situated on the top of a hill.
Later cruise back to Gateway of India and enjoy some sightseeing inside the city. For lovers of art and architecture, Prince of Wales museum is also added in this Mumbai travel guide.  Also enjoy a drive past Marine Drive, Jain Temple and Hanging Gardens. Concluding this trip guests will retire in their hotel to get revitalized for the next exciting sojourn.

Day 03: Mumbai- Udaipur

JaipurDrive early morning to reach domestic airport in Mumbai where our GeTS Holidays representative will avail you with all the arrangements for a comfortable flight to Udaipur.  On arrival settle in the hotel booked for your stay in Udaipur and then commence the sightseeing tour of this ‘City of Lakes’.  Begin the tour with first visit to the shores of Lake Pichola to appreciate astonishing beauty of City Palace.  Main highlights of the place are Durbar Hall, Crystal Gallery, Palace Museum and Jagdish Temple. 

Later on visit the ornamental garden built in honour of royal ladies in the city known as Saheli Ki Bari followed by a visit to Lok Kala Mandal exhibiting finest of folk artefacts.  Concluding the tour pay your homage to local deities in Eklingji and Nagda Temples situated on the banks of Lake Bageela.  Return to the hotel for night stay.


Day 04: Udaipur- Chittaurgarh- Udaipur (112 kms/ 3 hrs.)

AgraOn this day of culture and heritage tour in Rajasthan a tour to Chittaurgarh will be one of the ideal ways of exploring Rajasthani culture.  Spread over 13 sq kms Chittaurgarh fort is one of the most magnificent forts in India and tells the saga of glorious Indian past.  The fort surrounds various imposing forts and palaces including Kirti Stambha, Rana Kumbha Palace, Meera Temple, Kalika Mata Temple and State Archaelogical Museum.  After this exciting experience at Chittaurgarh return to your hotel in Udaipur for overnight stay.



Rajasthan Tour BookingDay 05: Udaipur- Jodhpur (276 kms/ 5 ˝ hrs.)

This day in Udaipur will begin with a breakfast which will be followed by drive to Jodhpur.  Pay an en route visit to Jain Temples and Ranakpur Temples which is an amazing cluster of 12 century temples build of intricately carved white marble.  One can choose to have lunch in a fancy restaurant and then continue with the drive to reach Jodhpur where you will be located in a hotel booked under this Rajasthan heritage tour.  You can also choose to spend a glistening night full of live folk dance and music performances at Ajit Bhawan.  Return to the hotel thereafter for overnight stay.

Day 06: At Jodhpur

This morning you will make a full day city sightseeing tour to Jodhpur like Clock Tower, Mehrangarh Fort which is a majestic one with seven gates and Jaswant ka thada. Proceed further for a visit to Umaid Bhawan Place which is a gorgeous building functioning as a museum currently.  Late you will be taken for a visit to Bishnois Village where you can absorb the cultural life of the local inhabitants.  Indulge in shopping for some traditional attire, handcrafted artefacts, jewellery and other trinkets.  Return to the hotel in Jodhpur then for overnight stay.

Day 07: Jodhpur- Jaisalmer (290 kms/ 6 hrs.)

Post breakfast a drive will take you to Osian Village which is renowned for housing 15 beautiful Jain and Brahmanical Temples.  Explore the region and then regain your journey to reach Jaisalmer where on arrival you will be first accommodated in a hotel booked under your cultural tour to Rajasthan.  In the evening visit Gadisar Lake or visit the local markets for a leisurely walk around.  Return to the hotel and stay there for the rest of the night.

At the princely state of Jaisalmer, guests will be provided a full day for enjoying sightseeing tour of the region which is a fabulous place exhibiting the charms of regal era in Rajasthan.  Visit the architectural splendours of Jaisalmer including Jaisalmer Fort, Jain Temple, Patwon ki Haveli, Salem Singh ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli.
Thereafter move ahead towards Sam Sand Dunes and en route will visit Temple of Lodurwa, Amar Sagar and Mool Sagar Complex. On arrival at Sam Sand Dues guests will enjoy a memorable Camel Safari and will explore various sites and ruins of temples around the region and finally a beautiful display of folk entertainment and then will return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09: Jaisalmer- Bikaner (330 kms/ 7 hrs.)

Post breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Bikaner en route visit the majestic Fort Pokharan, which is a yellow sandstone structure includes beauteous palaces such as Mangal Niwas, Rani Mahal, Phool Niwas, Pokharan Museum and more.  After this visit continue your excursion to reach Bikaner.  On arrival in Bikaner get settled in the hotel booked previously by our GeTS Holidays tour operator in Rajasthan.  Enjoy a comfortable stay for the rest of the night.

Rajasthan Tour BookingDay 10: Bikaner- Jaipur (350 kms/ 7 hrs.)

Take a sightseeing tour to Junagadh Fort post breakfast.  The fort is fortified with 986 m long walls and 37 bastions other attractions here include, Bhand Sagar Temple, a 16th century Jain temple.  Return to the hotel to collect your belongings and get on another drive to Jaipur and pay your regards to Karni Mata by visiting her temple renowned for hundreds of rats roaming around inside.  Continue with your drive henceforth and on arrival in Jaipur enjoy your stay in the hotel booked previously for your stay.

Day 11: At Jaipur

Post breakfast enjoy an elegantly painted elephant ride to the Amber Fort; see the City Palace Complex, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. The focal point of the city of Jaipur is the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storey high Baroque- like structure built to enable the veiled ladies to observe the street scenes below and remain unnoticed.
The City Palace, a wonderful combination of Mughal and Rajput forms of architecture, is now partly a museum. Later in the evening visit Birla Temple.  Guests can also opt for a visit to Chokhi Dhani a five star hotel serving traditional live music and dance shows along with serving delectable cuisines.  Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Rajasthan Tour BookingDay 12: Jaipur- Agra (230 kms/ 5 hrs.)

Depart Jaipur the land of the Rajputs to the Mughal splendour of Agra, en-route visiting Fathepur Sikri situated 35 kms from Agra. Fatehpur Sikri is built in red sandstone to honour Saint Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar. Each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza.

Drive on to Agra and check-in to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the Agra Fort which lies across the river Jamuna. It was here that Aurangzeb the third son of Shah Jahan kept his father under house arrest. One can get the most moving view of the Taj from the little octagonal tower in the Fort. After an eventful day relax in your hotel for the rest of the night

Rajasthan Tour BookingDay 13: Agra- Delhi (200 kms/ 4 hrs.)

Visit the incomparable Taj Mahal early morning on this day of your Rajasthan Culture and Heritage Tour. This monument a fine example of fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world.  Return to the hotel and have your breakfast followed by drive back to Delhi.  En route guests will stop at Sikandra to view the famed Tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar.  Resume your journey henceforth and reach Delhi where you will be accommodated in a hotel booked by our tour operator in Rajasthan for your stay in national capital.

Day 14: At Delhi

Delhi the national capital of India embodies a harmonious blend of traditional affluence of Old Delhi and modern culture of New Delhi.  Our tour operator plans for an illustrious experience of touring the city and hence, the guests will first visit the splendours of Old Delhi including Jama Masjid the largest mosque of Asia, the sprawling Red Fort, Gandhi Memorial and other highlights of Old Delhi .
A visit to India Gate is the next destination which will be followed by a visit to Parliament House. Visit the famous complex of Laxmi Narayan temple thereafter followed by a visit to Humayun’s Temple, Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar.  An overnight stay in the Delhi hotel will provide a time to relax and relish the memories of the day gone by in the historic city Delhi.

The last day of this Rajasthan Culture and Heritage Tour will be free for enjoying recreational activities such as shopping in local markets or guests can also opt to simply relax in their rooms at the hotel.  Later in the evening our GeTS Holidays representative will escort them to the international airport from where they will board their flight back home.
