Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi
Arrive at Delhi International Airport where you will be welcomed by our GeTS Holidays representative. Assisting you with your luggage our representative will then accompany you to the hotel booked previously as part of your Rajasthan tour itinerary. You will be given a brief on the Exotic North India with Rajasthan Tour which starts next morning.
This day bring a sightseeing tour of the national capital. The tour of Old Delhi will connect you with the rich history of the city as you visit the red sandstone edifice of Red Fort containing national significance it is the venue for Indian Independence Day celebrations. The Jama Masjid and Chandini Chowk are up next on this city tour and conclude Old Delhi tour with paying homage to ‘father of nation’(Mahatma Gandhi) at Rajghat, Gandhi memorial.
Day 03: Delhi- Varanasi (By Air)
Post breakfast guests will be driven to the airport where they will board the flight as scheduled under this North India tour taking the guests to the holy city of Hindus and Buddhists- Varanasi. Relax for a brief time at the hotel booked for your stay in Varanasi. Our GeTS Holidays representative will then escort you to Sarnath for a sightseeing tour of the region.
Day 04: Varansi- Khajuraho (By Train)
This day of your North India tour itinerary will begin with a spiritual experience as you visit the banks of holy River Ganges for a boat ride and see the traditional offerings being made to Ganges by the pilgrims. Later in the day visit the temples of the region including Golden Temple, Durga Temple also known as Monkey Temple due to the presence of large population of monkeys inside temple premises. Our GeTS Holidays representative will then drive you to railway station. You will be provided tickets and all other arrangements by our GeTS Holidays representative as you board your overnight train to the temple town of Khajuraho.
Post breakfast on this day visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the famous Western Group of Temples. Pay a visit to see the massive Laxman Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu also visit the Varaha temples, Kandariya Mahadev Temple and Chausath Yogini Temple. A visit to Archaeological Museum will avail an opportunity to explore the collection of stone artefacts of Chandela dynasty preserved well.
Return to the hotel henceforth and spend the night here.
Day 06: Khajuraho- Jhansi- Agra (By Train)
Post breakfast on this day visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the famous Eastern Group of Temples and Jain Temples to see Jain Temples of Parsvnath, Adinath and Shantinath. Later drive to Jhansi and pay an en route visit to Orchha. On arrival at Jhansi reach railway station to board your overnight train to Agra.
Assistance will be provided at the railways station where you reach on this morning. Our GeTS Holidays representative will then accompany you to the hotel booked for your stay in Agra. Post breakfast, guests will be escorted by the GeTS Holiday representatives for a sightseeing tour of the city of Agra. Guests will visit other historic monuments of the city like Agra Fort, Itmadullah’s Tomb and others. After a tiring but enriching day, guests will return back to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 08: Agra- Jaipur (230 kms/ 5 hrs.)
Early in the morning guests will proceed to visit the eternal emblem of love, the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is the symbol of eternal love, created by mogul emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal, it appears most beautiful in the morning rays and thus guests will first visit it in the morning and then return to the hotel for a rich and delicious breakfast.
Check out from the hotel thereafter and drive to your next destination, Jaipur. On route visit the abandoned city of Mughals- Fatehpur Sikri where you can explore the red sandstone edifice built by Emperor Akbar to honour Saint Salim Chisti. Explore the elaborate edifices such as Diwan-e-Khas, Diwan-e- Am and Panch Mahal. Later proceed to Jaipur where on arrival you will be accommodated in a hotel booked by our tour operator in Rajasthan. Explore the effervescent markets of Jaipur in the evening and then return to your rooms back at the hotel for night stay.
After a succulent Rajasthani breakfast start to visit Amber Fort perched on a hillock. You can enjoy an elephant ride here. You will discover the architectural brilliance of the Rajasthani artists. A visit to spectacular palace complex of City Palace will provide an opportunity to view fine Indian and Mughal architecture. Afternoon will be scheduled for a visit to Jantar Mantar, an ancient observatory built by royalty, Sawai Jai Singh. Also, visit another famous site of the city, Hawa Mahal built for the royal ladies to watch the royal procession. Today also visit the shopping centres, gardens and cultural centres. Guests can opt to dine at Chokhi Dhani a traditional Rajasthani village set up serving perfect essence of Rajasthan tour. Stay overnight at the hotel after enjoying a sumptuous Indian dinner as planned under this Rajasthan tour itinerary.
Day 10: Jaipur- Jodhpur (340 kms/ 6-7 hrs.)
Post breakfast commence your journey to reach Jodhpur. An en- route visit to Pushkar, the renowned destination of famous cattle fair and the only temple of Lord Brahma is planned on your Rajasthan itinerary. Proceed towards Jodhpur henceforth where on arrival you will be accommodated in a hotel booked previously for your stay in Jodhpur. You can opt to enjoy an eventful night at some fine restaurant in the city or stay in bed for a peaceful siesta after a long journey.
Day 11: Jodhpur- Udaipur( 276kms/ 6 hrs.)
A drive to Udaipur is then planned on your Enchanting Rajasthan Tour. You will get to visit en route the renowned Jain temples and Ranakpur Temples- a cluster of temples made of intricately sculpted white marble. Continue the drive henceforth to reach Udaipur where you will be transferred to the hotel booked for your stay in the city. Evening in this lake city will be free for leisure activities and for a casual walk around Lake Pichola. One can also opt for a boat ride or simply return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 12: At Udaipur
In the morning city sightseeing tour to Udaipur. Built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh, the city has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. The day will begin with a visit to exquisite City Palace overlooking the Lake Pichola. Other sightseeing attractions on your Udaipur tour will include Durbar Hall, Crystal Gallery, Palace Museum and Jagdish Temple. Later visit an ornamental garden built for the royal ladies- Saheli Ki Bari followed by a visit to Lok Kala Mandal which exhibits a fine collection of folk artifacts such as ornaments, puppets, folk music instruments, paintings and more. Conclude the trip with a visit to Eklingi and Nagda Temples, built on the banks of Lake Bageela. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13: Udaipur- Delhi-Departure (By Flight)
Last day of Exotic North India with Rajasthan Tour will begin with a delectable meal in the hotel. Thereafter check out to reach the domestic airport in Udaipur. Our GeTS Holidays representative will avail you with all the arrangements for your flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi you will be provided the tickets and other arrangements for your comfortable connecting flight back home.
